Job Title: Program Officer, Ground Operations
Reports to: Associate Director – Programs Type: Full-time | Programmatic Role
Work Location: GEC’s and Admin Office as per the program requirements
Purpose of the Role
The Program Officer – Ground Operations at Protsahan India Foundation leads the on-ground implementation of trauma-informed, rights-based programs for vulnerable adolescent girls in urban slum communities. Anchored in Protsahan’s H.E.A.R.T. model, the role ensures effective program delivery, team capacity building, and community engagement. By translating strategy into action and fi eld insights into advocacy, this role is key to advancing Protsahan’s mission of ending gender-based violence and empowering girls through healing and education.
Program Strategy & Implementation
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all ground-level programs and interventions.
- Work closely with the AD to design, adapt, and roll out fi eld programs aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
- Ensure that all grassroots initiatives integrate trauma-informed care and psychosocial well-being frameworks, including the H.E.A.R.T model.
- Oversee the development and execution of community-based educator programs, ensuring alignment with adverse childhood experiences (ACE) and healing approaches.
- Assist subject coaches and YPLs around the Bridge course.
Field Team Management & Capacity Building
- Supervise, guide, and mentor field staff, including educators, social workers, and community coordinators.
- Conduct regular training and workshops for ground teams to ensure high-quality delivery of programs.
- Establish performance metrics, monitor team progress, and provide timely feedback for continuous improvement.
- Build leadership capacity within the field teams to enhance effi ciency and autonomy.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and purchase requisitions from the ground
- Work closely with ground team to ensure timely hiring of required YPLs and CCs
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with local NGOs, schools, government agencies, and child protection networks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for field-level collaborations and community mobilization efforts.
- Represent the organization at community forums, workshops, and district/state-level meetings to promote child welfare initiatives.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting (MER)
- Develop and implement fi eld-level monitoring and evaluation systems to measure program outcomes and impact.
- Conduct periodic fi eld visits, assessments, and audits to ensure program quality and adherence to goals.
- Prepare comprehensive ground reports, case studies, and impact stories for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the preparation of quarterly reports, analyze field data for insights, and flag risks or achievements and also for Funder reports.
- Review and provide feedback on monthly journals maintained by Center Coordinators for continuous improvement.
Advocacy & Policy Outreach
- Support grassroots advocacy initiatives that align with child rights, NEP 2020, and other relevant policies.
- Collaborate with the advocacy team to translate fi eld-level learnings into policy recommendations.
- Facilitate community awareness sessions on child protection and trauma-informed care.
Budget & Resource Optimization
- Prepare and manage ground-level budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Coordinate the distribution of materials, tools, and resources needed for field activities.
- Identify funding needs for ground initiatives and support proposal development in collaboration with the fundraising team.
- Oversee book curation and procurement processes, ensuring alignment with program needs and fi nancial effi ciency.
- Ensure robust stock management and update processes for GECs, libraries, and learning materials.

Work Experience:
3–6 years of relevant experience in program implementation, preferably in the NGO sector, with strong field exposure, community engagement experience, and a clear inclination toward data analysis and reporting.
Remuneration: Upto INR 38,000/ month, will be determined in line with the candidate’s skill set and relevant work experience.
