Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles applicable to NGOs, income tax Act, labour laws, etc, sound working knowledge of Tally ERP, and possess good analytical and communication skills. To be successful at Protsahan, the candidate will necessarily need to have passion for our mission and a strong desire to work in a dynamic non-profit organization. Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity, consistency to thrive with commitment at work and trustworthiness.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in making payments and receipts as necessary for the projects and entering in Tally 
  • Making necessary journal entries as per standard procedures, creating cost centers for demarcating expenses as per funding agencies
  • Adhere to the Protsahan Accounting and Financial compliance procedures 
  • Verifying vouchers, bills, invoices across the projects
  • Ensure filing of all hard copies on invoices and claims
  • Preparing bank reconciliation statements periodically.
  • Ensure statutory payments like PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS etc are made on time and  reports pertaining to them are prepared and submitted on time
  • Overall Internal Financial Control Implementation
  • Effective Grants Management
  • Sound Knowledge of Income Tax Act and labour laws 
  • Maintenance of books of Accounts in Tally ERP
  • Assisting in Internal and External Auditors 
  • Assisting in Project Reporting and Project Compliances
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve  problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Educational Qualification – Graduation in Commerce 

Competency – Sound knowledge of Accounting, Tally, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience – Upto 2 years of work experience in  handling accounts function preferably in NGO Sector.

Remuneration: Rs. 3.0 Lacs per annum

Job Summary:

Protsahan is seeking a passionate and skilled Creative Arts-Based Therapy Session Facilitator to join our team. The facilitator will work closely with Protsahan Girl Champions, utilizing various art forms such as storytelling, dance movement therapy, puppet making, jewellery making, filmmaking, photography etc. to facilitate sessions. This role aims to promote emotional well-being, self-expression, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Creative Arts-Based Therapy Sessions: Plan and conduct creative arts-based sessions using diverse art forms to address the emotional and psychological needs of Girl Champions.
  • Art-Based Interventions: Develop and implement creative interventions that address specific emotional and behavioural challenges faced by the participants.
  • Assessment and Progress Tracking: Conduct assessments to understand participants’ needs and track their progress throughout sessions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports for each participant. Documenting critical significant stories of change using art and theater modalities from the grassroots
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including Protsahan’s Child Protection Officers & Youth Peer Leader to provide comprehensive support to the Girl Champions. Ensuring that the field teams including the partners’ proactively build and maintain psychosocial skills and competencies required for leading and developing first-class development and emergency programs for children in distress facing any vulnerability or child rights violations.
  • Workshops and Skill Building: Organize workshops and skill-building activities in various art forms to enhance participants’ creativity and self-confidence.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  1. Degree in Psychology/ with at least 3+ years experience in facilitating art-based sessions
  2. Have at least 2+ specific years of work experience in grassroots NGOs working on Gender and Child Rights and directly worked with communities of vulnerable children
  3. Certification in creative arts-based therapy or relevant art forms is a plus.
  4. Proven experience in facilitating sessions using storytelling, dance movement therapy, puppet making, jewellery making, filmmaking, or photography
  5. Ability to design content, modules, assessments, and impact reports for the sessions facilitated with the partner organizations and stakeholders
  6. Competent user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data and information and maintain professional boundaries with all constituencies
  8. Strong communications and facilitation skills, including the ability to manage and prioritize the resources and tasks, in order to support simultaneous deliverables and delivery dates
  9. Strong digital communication skills and creative thinker
  10. Willingness to travel to implementation sites in Uttam Nagar and Dwarka in Delhi

Executive – Girl Champions Fellowship Program

About Protsahan India Foundation

This position will assist with successfully managing the Girls Fellowship Program at Protsahan

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Put together communication about the Girls Fellowship Program 
  • Help put together a curriculum and quarterly plan for all the Fellows to follow.
  • Put together an induction program for the Fellows to give them a good understanding of Protsahan and its work.
  • Assist in putting together processes for the Fellows and their supervisors to report the progress made by Fellows.
  • Help with reaching out to various resource partners who can build the capacity of the Fellows.
  • Facilitate online and offline workshops for the Fellows and the beneficiaries. 
  • Support the line manager with taking this program to scale across India
  • Assist the senior management with key meetings, documentation, impact reporting, follow ups as required
  • Support the communication person with data, case stories etc as per requirement 
  • Work alongside volunteers and guide them in their work with support functions
  • Help with logistics and operations for workshops conducted by Protsahan for external stakeholders. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate in Psychology, Law, Sociology or any other relevant equivalent degree
  • At least 1 year prior work experience in working on Gender and Child Rights is preferred. 
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills in English and Hindi required
  • Strong working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Indesign & Photoshop
  • Competent user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work with multifunctional teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of all data and information and maintain professional boundaries with all constituencies.

This position will report to the Program Manager – Girl Champion Fellowship

Location – New Delhi

Remuneration – Commensurate with skills & experience. Please note, this is an entry level position for ideally a college fresher or someone with a year of experience, who wishes to work in the grassroots sector in India.
